Works from the SEISHU MEMORIAL HALL, our sister museum, will be featured in the Kyoto exhibition of “Hakuin’s Zen”, planned and produced by Studio Ghibli. “Kannon of the Lotus Pond” from the SEISHU MEMORIAL HALL’s collection served as the key visual.

Hakuin Ekaku’s “Kannon of the Lotus Pond” and “Daikoku with a Mouse” from the SEISHU MEMORIAL HALL’s collection will be exhibited at the Kyoto exhibition of “Hakuin’s Zen”, will hold at the Higashiyama Cube, the new wing of the Kyoto Ceramic Art Museum.

Organized and produced by Studio Ghibli and Nippon Television, this exhibition introduces the calligraphy and paintings of Hakuin Ekaku and the world of Zen through visual media.

“Kannon at the Lotus Pond” is also featured as the key visual for this exhibition.
