40 years has passed since I first came across netsuke. During these years, as I knew that excellent netsuke pieces were being marketed outside Japan and saw Japanese craftsmen creating minute details on tiny materials, I began to think that I had to help the people of Japan preserve this wonderful, traditional Japanese art. This dream has now come true. Now people can appreciate my collection displayed at the only existing samurai residence in Kyoto. Please take your time and appreciate the traditional beauty of Japanese netsuke. We welcome your visit and hope you will enjoy traditional beauty of netsuke.
